FAQs
Can GSS detect dual employment or moonlighting?
Yes. By analyzing Form 26AS, we can identify multiple income streams (including freelancing or part-time contracts) that traditional PF/UAN checks might miss.
Is candidate consent required for financial probity?
Absolutely. Every check is legally authorized by the candidate, ensuring your organization remains fully compliant with DPDP and GDPR standards.
How do you handle AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks for digital onboarding?
Our platform integrates with global sanctions and AML watchlists. During the onboarding of a new customer or employee, our system pings live databases to ensure the individual is not flagged for money laundering or terrorist financing. This ensures your institution stays compliant with KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYE (Know Your Employee) norms
How does GSS support the "Non-Performing Asset (NPA)" reduction strategy for lenders?
For micro-lenders and NBFCs, we provide Defaulter List and Wilful Defaulter checks at the point of onboarding. By identifying applicants who have the capacity to pay but a history of "wilful" non-compliance, we haelp institutions filter out high-risk loans before they impact the balance sheet.
What are the different types of Bank Account Verification GSS offers?
We offer 2 levels of BAV depending on the required level of assurance:
- Penny Drop Verification: The most common method. A micro-deposit (₹1) is sent to the account to confirm it is active and to retrieve the registered account holder's name directly from the bank.
- Document Match: A qualitative check where bank statements or cancelled cheques are cross-referenced against government IDs to ensure the account has been consistently maintained by the individual.
What is the difference between a Regular Defaulter and a Wilful Defaulter?
Regular Defaulter is an individual or entity that fails to meet repayment obligations due to genuine financial distress, such as economic downturns or business failure. In contrast, a Wilful Defaulter has the financial capacity to pay but intentionally defaults, diverts funds for unauthorized purposes, or siphons off assets without using them for the intended loan application.
What is the difference between a Defaulter and Bankruptcy?
Defaulter refers to the act of failing to fulfill a legal obligation or "defaulting" on a specific payment, such as a missed loan installment or credit card bill. Bankruptcy is a formal legal status declared by a court when a person or business is deemed unable to repay their outstanding debts. While a default is a single event of non-payment, bankruptcy is a comprehensive legal process to resolve all insolvency issues.
Can financial screening help in preventing "Executive Fraud"?
GSS helps organizations identify individuals who may be vulnerable to bribery, embezzlement, or other fraudulent activities due to personal fiscal pressure.
